Dense fog advisory
My iPhone chimes a bureaucratic chill on spectral, gray tones
The world shrinks to 50 feet, maybe less
There is a subtile soft blindness that brings caution and comfort to this morning
watching and waiting
Today I’m not ready to see everything at once
I’m glad the world and my eyes can open slowly;
Enjoying this morning and the sun’s hesitation
watching and waiting
The hum of engines are like reluctant ghosts moving east and west,
and the rooster calls frantically

Fave lines are: Today I’m not ready to see everything at once I’m glad the world and my eyes can open slowldescribing the “sun’s hesitation” This is a really cool poem, and I love the ending after all the gray in front of it - the rooster. ❣️
The pacing and repetition of watching and waiting perfectly mirrors the mood of the morning.
Impressive!
Nice job! I enjoy the imagery and I can hear the sounds described so well.
