Demons of the Mind

Overcoming Anxiety and Depression to Find Inner Peace

By Tamseela FarooqPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

In this world of chaos and strife,
Where darkness creeps into every life,
Depression and anxiety reign supreme,
And steal away a person's dream.

They grip the mind with icy claws,
And drag one down with endless flaws.
The weight of sorrow, the burden of fear,
Is more than any soul can bear.

The heart is heavy, the soul is weak,
And every step is slow and bleak.
The light of hope, the flame of joy,
Is snuffed out by these demons coy.

They prey on the weak, the vulnerable,
And leave behind a life so miserable.
But we must fight, we must resist,
And not let these demons persist.

With love and care, with compassion true,
We can help each other make it through.
For in the end, it's love that wins,
And makes us stronger than these sins.

So let us stand together, hand in hand,
And face these demons, take a stand.
For we are human, and we are strong,
And we will not let these demons prolong.
