The lust of dust

The lust of dust

So dumb and unjust

How far to quench

Your thirst at last

In pain I curse

How many more

Tears to shed

How many more nights to spend

In the wilderness of despair

Untill when shall I engage

Wishful thinking

Untill when shall I

make love to the wind

The lust of dust

So dumb and profound

The games and lies

A relic for the ages to come

You ensnare then grab

Our zealous youth

and their dreams

Draining their income

In your extravagantdulteries

The lust for dust

A Delilah you are

Sweet face by day

Man eater by night

Why do you dare my man to fight

The battle of the dead

Lending him back to me

At an outstanding interest rate

Drenched in your perfume

drunk with your venom

So daring and sly

Your ransom demands

are nauseating!

I have seen your dance

that trap!

Like fish in a fisherman's nest

A bountiful harvest you've got

Behold I know my man

he wouldn't cheat on me!

Nay

A hypnotist is whom you are

Selfish and malicious

you clamour for attention

where you aren't attended

Bringing down the fortress

where access is denied

But just this once

let my man be;

A father and a husband

A citizen and a scholar

A son and a friend

The man I fell in love with
