Deep Water

Day 48/365

By Ellie HoovsPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

Life tosses you in

doesn't care if you can swim

doesn't care if it's cold or it's not

When you sink to the bottom

the light is forgotten

the ocean floor becomes a burial plot

But what they keep forgetting

is that you're ever-changing

and when life teeters, you start to totter

dancing on the edge of a knife

you'll save your own life

and find your way out of the deep water
