Dedication's Wasteland

Senryu (Doubled)

By Canuck Scriber Lisa LachapellePublished about a year ago 1 min read
A fig tree and falling leaves

I think I'm too sad

Remember the pool of sharks

And where not to bleed

*

The hypnotist's trick will rot

The soul's livelihood does break

*

No wishes made here

The omen is still to come

Sight can't be borrowed

*

Be careful what you wish for

The days are getting shorter

*

Well I have only attempted my first HAIKU in the Sky challenge. I’ve come to you from Vocal + Assist group post. Congratulations and all of your reading! It takes time to read and appreciate. And I learn so much. This is only the second Senryu I have read. And here it is a double - as I delve into the human condition, for some - including me. Thank you so much for helping me continue my learning path. With kindness and gratitude Pauline 🌸
