Deceptive Wolves

Political Deception

Deceptive Wolves

There is much chatter about nothing that matters,

About what might happen your gossip spattered.

But what about the truth that eternally abides,

That’s the foundation of us all, it never subsides.

So, spread the gossip, your forked-tongue serpentine talent,

One that suits you and those who’ve held court’s mallet.

Thump and shout and rant and rave slogans to enslave,

Beware your intentions it could open your political grave.

We’re not sheep asleep for there are promises to keep,

One’s that are lofty, honorable, and deep.

Mimicking and posturing illusions under pretense,

Cause others to see you as you are trying to convince.

It’s the political wolves volleying to capture,

Each soul that falters or believes their banter.

Keep your thoughts pure and your sword sharper,

Cutting asunder the evil rhetoric and malicious slander.
