Deception

Lies of the Lion

I wince at the pain of remembrance

For the pride is here still after the fall

I try my best to instill temperance

Yet each passing day leads the call

The King has not lied yet the brother has

The Son has not lied yet another has

The lion deceives all the masses

While I stumble through the tall grasses

Not one soul has seen it through to the end

Except those that have been created to bend

That which was created to lend

Has tranformed into a passionate end
