I avert my gaze from the crowd

Make them think I’m crying

When in reality, I grin.

They all claim to be Saints

Singing hymns at heaven’s gate

But they know,

And I know

Corruption starts in the mouth

Spreads faster than any disease

And God?

He watches them gasp

Amused at how insufferable

And uninhabitable they’ve become.

Humans.
