Death leaves

Poem I wrote for my mother

By Charles MartinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Death leaves a heartache

That nothing can heal,

Love leaves a memory

no one can steal.

I’d make a deal

with the devil

For one more embrace

You’ve been gone so long

I’ve forgotten your face.

Nothing prepares you

for when they’ll go.

Try to Do your best and

hope they know!

Then the time comes

they’ll wither and die

& Can’t be saved no

matter how hard you try.

You’ll Beg and plead

For just one more day.

You won’t get it though

No matter what you say.

Been Robbed out

time that we should of had

Haunted by seeing them

always so sad.

sad poetry
