Dear Vocal readers,

Before I begin to moan and complain

And explain the very comely sumo wrestlers

I must suggest very nicely, that

Vocal needs to address the time on reads v likes

The challenge poems are shorter, less than regular stories

Reading goes fast and furiously on tiny challenges

They need shorter time spans to be a read

Maybe half a minute. I haven't got the foggiest idea

Of how that would really work

I just looked at my stats

And I have to say

I felt like Sumo Wrestlers were sitting

Both of the contestants, together, at the same time

Sitting on my lungs and squeezing all the air out

I confess, I could not breathe for a few seconds

Imagine seeing five (5) whole likes on my new story

I felt so wonderful....then it all fizzled away

FOR THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE READ EGISTERED

I got five (5) lovely hearts instead, with O, O reads

So happy was I, that I was hearted, all of five times

But reads are definitely better for my health

I had diligently read your stories

And waited a whole minute for it to register (hopefully)

Really, I pause and wait the full minute which it takes

For a story to acquire a definite read

Have you all not realized that when "liking" a story

If under a minute, it does not register as a read

Therefore, no one benefits, I tell no lie

I scrolled everywhere, looking for a previous story

Written by another author on the subject, can't find it

Darn it!

So, in returning to the topic at hand

I must tell you that it hurt like hell

When those Sumo guys kept sitting and squeezing

My chest felt like it was on fire

I was a bit peeved and discomfited

I had returned the reads on five stories

And I had not a single read (I repeat) to show for it

What is good for the goose and all that

Please be nice and spend the minute to read and comment

Not just like and move on

Tis fair to expect tit for tat

Don't you think?

Finally, let those really heavy guys off my lungs. Please!
