You may not wear a cape or cowl.
and others might see thee as just a towel.
You may not fight villains galore, but
what you do is so much more.
Your special talents may fool the eye,
as you age and time goes by,
There's not a dish, a hand, or tear that you can't dry.
When I awake you're in your place.
To greet my hand, and wash my face.
After another day has passed.
I'll find you were I left you last.
No matter what your labor, or how your stressed,
You're always first to fight a mess.
Though you're not be a child, a trophy, or a pet
life without you life would just be wet.
