Dear someone we like to hate...

But have to bear with...

Quote {blue} by @Joe Pett

She stood tall on the podium, your elected eyes on her: "You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words", she wept.

What more could be said?

Al Gore counselled,

Attenborough implored,

And Nature’s wrath on us poured.

You say "they don't realise,

with their signs, their march, their shouts, and their tears,

that when a polar bear dies,

more dollar bills flood to us like our crowd and their cheers."

We say "there is something you don't know,

that although we've believed your talk and be seduced by your show,

sooner or later millions of Greta will take over ballots, trashing your name,

then nothing will save your dignity, not even your hall of fame."

2015, climate change was like a trend in your agenda

but experts, data and research won’t get your attention,

2019, what plans? what results? We all marched in Vienna,

tell us, do you gamble with your decisions?

Look up to Merkel, Macron and Ardern

Test your heart before it hardens.

You believe our fears are conspiracies

That consequences only happen to others,

Ah no, "they will never touch my brothers ."

But remember when your private jet won’t fly

And when you will fear masked pandemic

That you had the power but you didn’t even try

And laughed at the face of polemic.

When your money and power won’t buy you an extra life

Remember you also gambled with other’s.

You say: “climate has always been changing

We say: “why do you oppose a better world?

We know and you know that even with all this marching

Only your interests be concurred.

Listen to the predictions of Sir David

The society you govern will collapse and after you they will go

You will lose your pedestal so you cannot say you didn’t know.

We know your heart is not touched by Blue Planet,

Beauty, wonder, diversity, colour,

Unique to our earth that the creation has set.

Keep your pedestal, we just want to breathe and live,

But make use of the agreements you signed

Before your career fall behind.

From Paris, through Kyoto to Davos,

You toured the world and left footprints,

Empty speech, shake-hands-show and treason hints.

So, she stood there, wept and you laughed at her face,

Using the blue bird to mock and attack

She has millions behind her, behind her case,

Remember your tweets when billions will be on your back.
