Oh, where are you, dear Mr. Moon.
You’ve hidden yourself, way too soon.
Your light is filtered behind a gray cloud,
Like a forgotten memory behind a dark shroud.
The thought escapes me but hurts just the same.
I’m not even sure I remember his name.
I wish you’d peek through and offer some light
And possibly end my memory plight.
Is this how you feel when the clouds threaten rain?
Does it hurt like I hurt? Are they causing you pain?
Oh, dear Mr. Moon, I wish it could be,
The summer breeze, your bright beams, and most of all, me.
Your bright light would help erase all the sadness.
I’m sure if I saw you if you, you’d bring so much gladness.
Oh, dear Mr. Moon, wait, is that what it seems?
One? No, two? Oh, my! So many beams.
My world’s gotten brighter, my mood’s lifted, too.
I remember; I can smile, and it’s thanks to you.
Oh, my dear Mr. Moon, if you don’t mind a bit,
I’m going outside, relax, and just sit.
I’ll sit and enjoy a glass of ice tea;
In the quiet, there’ll be, you, the cool breeze, and most of all me.
So, I raise my glass and toast to you, Mr. Moon,
Good night, my friend. I’ll see you again – soon.

What a friendship one is to have. Don't forget about the New Moon phase though. Good job.
