Dear Moon, Touch Me with Your Moonlight

Letters spoken with eyes lifted

Dear Moon,

Touch me with your moonlight,

for just a moment, with all your might.

Slam me with your moon ray,

and there’s not a single thing you need to say.

I smell the jasmine flowers pouring out their aroma in the nighttime dewy air.

In the distance an owl hoots serenely,

and a badger waltzes by like a queen.

Several mice squeak for their mother who comforts them in their motley nest.

The stars sparkle like eyes watching all through the night,

and all of creation rests from life’s daily grind and toilsome fight.

I request again…

Dear Moon,

Touch me with your moonlight,

for just a moment, with all your might.

Slam me with your moon ray,

and there’s not a single thing you need to say.

I think the moon has no choice but to listen and obey! If the moon did respond, what do you think it would say?
