Dear Moon

My Love

By Dagmar GoeschickPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Dear Moon,

my guardian at night,

my invisible friend in the light.

My lover in my dreams,

listening softly to my screams.

You taught me how to quiet fear,

you are the one who sees each tear.

Your silver light brings joy to me,

a secret glow that none else see.

You watch me gently while I sleep,

your vigil long, your promise deep.

At daylight, when you drift to rest,

I guard your heart within my chest.

My thoughts are always drawn to you,

when skies are calm or painted blue.

I know you’re waiting patiently near,

and I, your voice, still hold you dear.

You whisper comfort when I cry,

you dance in clouds that cross the sky.

You hide behind the veils of mist,

yet even there, your warmth persists.

No distance keeps our souls apart,

your glow still hums inside my heart.

When evening folds the day away,

your gentle face begins to sway.

You climb the heavens, proud and true,

and I, below, still dream with you.

So see you soon, my faithful friend—

this is not farewell, nor the end.

It is the start of something bright,

a bond reborn each starlit night.

Forever yours,

—The One Who Watches Too

Friendship
