Dear Grandma,

I'm sorry that I was working.

The stress took over and I didn't prioritize you.

I could have had another sweet moment with you.

Felt your broken heartbeat one more time.

Held your hand and kissed your forehead.

But I did all that once you were gone.

Your lifeless body broke my heart.

Your cold skin made me cry.

The lessons you taught me will be with me forever.

I'm sorry that I let you down.

Your memories are with me always.

Your love is in my heart.

I can feel your presence and I know it's okay.

I just miss you so deeply it hurts.

Please forgive me.

Longing for another moment,

Your granddaughter.
