Dear Future,

Hello, my name is Present

And I have a couple questions.

Will I become the president when I grow old?

I know it’s quite irrelevant

But really, I am very bent

On knowing how my story ends

When I grow old.

Dear Present,

Hello, my name is Future

And I know all the features

Of what (and who) will greet you

When you get old.

For president, someone beats you

But that doesn’t mean you’re a loser

‘Cause someday you’ll cure cancer

When you get old.

Dear Future,

Hello, my name is Past

I wasn’t sure of the part I was cast

But it’s good to know that I will last

And grow old

To Present, don’t grow up to fast

And pay attention to the past

So you learn some things and can have a blast

Before you get old.
