HEY COVID,

What the hell, man!

I let my guard down for a few days

and you make your way into my airways,

You’ve settled into my cells.

And just start ringing your bells.

I am not a fan, man!

*****

You’re not welcome here, dude.

Who said you could come in HERE?

I kept you out all this time,

over a year!

Didn’t that give you a clue?

This place is not for you!

I do not want you here!

*****

Who exactly do you think you are?

Coming up in here, acting like you own the place.

With your corona halo

And your Delta face.

Acting all high and mighty,

all large and in charge.

Tell me, who do you think you are?

*****

And now you have another variant?

Well, aren’t you just the contrariant?

What makes you think you can just come and change our place,

by changing your face,

and messing with the human race?

*****

We’ve been trying to tell you get out

For over a year

Do you want me to scream and shout?

Because I will.

I’ve had my fill.

Bye, dude.
