dear best friend,

This will be short but I will write again soon.

I hope you're well and giving yourself the best self-care there is. You deserve only the best. I want you to he happy. Truly.

I am trying to leave. I keep trying but my health keeps failing and the mad and sad raven finds ways to merely pause this separation between myself & them.

I am going to leave. I have to.

I am drowning.

I Love you my dear.

Love, your best friend

That sense of drowning in a body of water where you can just barely touch the bottom enough to push your nostrils above for a breath of air filled with droplets from the splash.

The imagery in this poem is outstanding. It’s full of emotions too! Good job.
