Valentines are heydays
a calendar mark
celebrating love's expression
offering more than words can say
But what about dead presidents?
the ones taking up residence
in deep-lined pockets
or
personal bank accounts
Recounts:
money lack
amend the spend
gift honey YOU
time
company
no heart dotes-
on crinkled notes
...
Remember, Valentine's Day is not about money!
Thanks for stopping by! 🥰

This is a clever and thought-provoking take on Valentine's Day! You've perfectly captured the contrast between the commercialized aspect of the holiday and the true meaning of love and connection. The lines about "dead presidents" and "crinkled notes" are particularly sharp and insightful, highlighting the potential for the holiday to be more about spending than genuine affection. The reminder that Valentine's Day is not about money is a crucial message, and you've delivered it with a touch of wit and a whole lot of truth. Well done!👍✨
I couldn't have said it better myself. Loved your poem!

Great message, awesome poem!
Well the coprerate heads have sure found out a way to cash in on this day. All started with the greeting card companies.
