Is it a good thing?

I know that people are laughing at me as I smile,

but in my mind, I laugh with them too.

The pain is gone, is it a good thing?

I can't feel anything anymore

It is less of a life not to feel,

I'd rather have a painful truth

than a glorious pretense

A life; not merely.

Well-wrought! Joy and sorrow come and go, where the self endures, yet there is something beyond even pleasure and pain, where the self is not. All of this, somehow, is one continuous, single experience, a mystery.
