"In the depth of numbness."

"Days in numbness."

Days drift by, blurred and strange,
Bound by weight, unable to change.
Emotions blurred, thoughts unclear,
Life feels heavy, time insincere.

False fronts fade, truth cuts deep,
A world that drains, calling for sleep.
Longing to flee, to something pure,
Seeking God’s peace, tranquil and sure.

I yearn to feel, yet numbness remains,
Eyes wet with tears, held in chains.
Lost in this fire, this hidden pain,
Burning through days I can’t explain.
These hardest days, beyond what’s known,
When my own heart feels cold, alone.
