Dawn Breaks the Waste

Drink the Sky

Dawn Breaks the Waste

Take the time to drink the sky

Where the erratic flights of starlings

Reinforce unseen by-paths

Under a wall of gray cloud

As the first light of dawn

Pushes up from beneath--

Atlas shoulders the world.

His stern gaze disperses the clouds

To leave a kaleidoscopic sky

Painted over the azure depths.

Slowly the canvas eats the paint

Until all that remains

Is a heart untainted, pure--

Illuminated but obscure.

The air magnetic;

The fire dynamic.

Dawn breaks the waste.

Part of You

The particles

(part of you)

The fire

Failed to consume...

The smoke.

The heavy air.

Interpenetrates

Everything,

Everywhere.

<>

The fire gutters low

As the smoke disperses

Amid random curses

Eternity doth bestow.

I don't know who gave you a "Nice Work" insight but I've upped it to "Outstanding" as that is how I view it. Wonderful - pastoral, emotional, and sad too. That takes some doing.
