Date Night

Ordering pasta and breadstick

Thought it was free but came with a bill

Free dessert was ice cream and cake

It was half melted nearby candles

Cake almost tasted hard as a brick

The ice cream soon looked like soup

The juice had no flavor like salt water

And the candles gave the ice cream its smell

The date ended in a better way

The two kissed the first time that day

Lipstick was over his mouth he could see it

He looked at his watch and it was eleven

He got to see the smile before departing

She smiled and winked at him as the moon came
