Dark Paths

Deep within the darkest nights

Alone I lie awake

Waiting, listening without sights

Longing, my heart begins to quake

And I’m left to stand in the wake

Of my long nights without you

I lose might, but for our sake

I know our love will stay true

And love will stay fresh and a new

When we can walk down that long isle

And drink of God’s brew

So our lives become one, no longer trapped in exile

Yet for now I think of dark

Where we first did start

This seems to be a relationship poem that has questions that need to be answered. Good job.
