They were too scared to be around her
Every susceptible sign sent to them
Was asking for help
And at the same time
Asking them to consider
A few other things in life
They didn’t know about
Days spent alone
Filled with as much sadness
As your soul can contain
But wasn’t that too much to ask?
They didn’t want to know such things
They all had their own families, small kids
Psychotic wives begging for attention
They couldn’t afford more tension
Which only she could offer them
But she had more than that
That dark side was damn attractive
Still, no one ever dared to look at it
Convinced that it will do them no good
So, she found them so obtuse
As only they could act
And this circle of poor perception played a part
In an entire society built on bragging
Politics influencing the masses
Celebrities doing the same for money
While she was the only one left in the background
Whoever looked at her did so only to draw the
Wrong conclusions
As always
Where there is no understanding
And infectious envy
