I remember when I was a child I was so dazed by kites
I wondered what it would be like to have the wind guide your flight
To be above all that seemed to dim what made us bright
Living in the moment breathing in everything in sight
As I got older I realized that the blackest nights are when the livest colors could ignite
Why be afraid of a color so bold
When it helped mold you and fight against the world like a knight
A world not only black and white but a spectrum of diverse perceptions of life
Living by faith and not by sight only to realize that faith is sight and the remedy of life is to entice what’s right
