The big concert's coming up

The whole band is stoked

They've been practicing for weeks

My friend Johnny plays drums

He's the most dedicated player

In my opinion of course

I couldn't wait to see

Johnny also had a solo

He's gonna tear that up

About time to get going

When we finally got there

Noticed we got there early

We saw the band's uniforms

Johnny was looking very dapper

His get-up nice and clean

The band began playing enthusiastically

And Johnny rocked his solo

They got a standing ovation

People throwing roses on stage

What a night to remember

surreal poetry
