Dancing with the Elements

Entangled in their Songs

One with my twin flame

embers crack a steady beat

as we sway in tune.

*

Waltzing with tall trees

the perfect partners come fall

when leaves twirl along.

*

Sailing the sea's breeze

winds from heaven carry me,

whispering their songs.

*

Swept up in a wave

soaked by my courter's embrace,

I drown in his love.

This has a steady beat, and that rhythm carries throughout the entire quad-ku with its theme of dancing. It was like reading a formal ballet performance whilst watching the world go by from a glass window or while sitting in the upper rows while peering through the spyglass.

Love, love, love!!! This was really beautiful. I love how you related the elements to dance. The whole thing had a smoothness to it that's hard to do with the limited format. Fantastic work!!
