Dancing with a Maple

By Kat Berkeley

By Helen BerkeleyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The sun is shining; the air is crisp and cold.

You take a walk into the forest

The joyous colours of autumn leaves

Green and red and brown and gold.

Have you ever dancing with a maple?

Watching the leaves falling down.

Dancing and floating hither and yon.

You are inspired to spin and twirl

Amid the dancing leaves.

Have you ever gone dancing with a maple?

You are laughing and giggling like a little child

As your eyes follow the autumn leaves dancing.

You are happy and free,

As this season is ending.

Have you ever gone dancing with a maple?

As the leaves are falling, falling falling…

You let go of all your cares and woes.

You let the past fall with the falling leaves

This is the dance of life,

This is dancing with a maple.
