Dancing the Cosmos

For Randy Baker’s Prompted #5

Stretch out a canvas at the edge of the sea

Use the salty breeze to make an impression of blue

Commission waves to carry you past the horizon

Go until you’ve left sun and doubts behind

Out there, your father’s father’s compass

Melts like a Dali clock

Rely on your self for navigation

But in case of emergency, break an hourglass

Pour out an island

Wild time will grow, peppery and sweet

Make a pillow out of memories and dreams

Lay down in a field of quiet moments

The night stars are as your thoughts

Bright, innumerable, explosive

Embrace one as it travels the heavens

You are dancing the cosmos together

I love the devil may care attitude of this one. Break anything if it will make life all the better. The voice of freeness indeed.
