A poem about being happy in your body

I am so full of brightness
I could jump from the excitement
Do tricks - cartwheels, backflips, twirls -
Like a colorful polka-dotted clown
Or bend myself into positions
I’ve never been in
Like an acrobat
Swinging from the circus lines -
My body painted bright, exaggerated versions
Of nature
Yellow crescent moons and five-pointed stars
Red lions’ manes
A mane of orange triangles around my face,
Or blue, green, black birds’ feathers
As my wings and cap
I am so in love with my strength
With my body
With its ability to create shapes
And forms,
Lines and circles
How it can twist itself
Make beautiful motions
Make beautiful movements
A pleasure for the eyes
A feast for the eyes
