Dad

Father

By Vicious AvaricePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

You’ve always supported me

Even when you yourself were falling

You were my nightlight

When I was scared

You were my shield

When I was frightened

And you were my sword

When I was terrified

You are plastered all over my memory

You were always there

You always cared

And you strived for my happiness first

You deserve more

Than the burden you bore

I wish I could lift you

Just once

Like you lift me

But you’ve never put me down

And never will.

Thank you

I love you
