Curse

I’ll even enjoy it

By A poem to youPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Curse

This is my curse:

To love one so thoroughly

That I can see no one else

And what was my crime?

Just to love, whole body and mind

One who does not know me

And so this is my sentence

My heart shattered in pieces

Exposed, laid open on the ground

But I relish in these chains

No matter the pain, they hold me

Close, yet still closer to love.

Note: I hope anyone who reads these poems can enjoy them and perhaps connect with them to their needs. As my page suggests these poems are for “you” which to me means that unknown someone these poems are someday truly meant for. Whether that is a great love of my life, any number of those I meet throughout life, or just myself, I am not entirely. All I know is each is meant for someone very dear to me.
