A light breaks water poem

Your heavenly molecules

On my earthly molecules

Nature’s mirror dance

Of glowing bodies

Waves creeping in slowly

Swelling and returning

From gentle laps

To big hard slaps

Involuntary

As they are inelegant

We are alive

In the moment

A peaking crest

A mighty crash

Settles serene

Our crystalline dream

Floating on like this for eternity

This felt like walking through a lucid dream—fragile, beautiful, and quietly surreal. Your imagery sparkles with emotion, and each line holds a soft kind of magic. Truly enchanting work.

  • This was so beautiful. Loved your take on this challenge!
