Crying in the Rain

Crying in the rain

I walk where shadows gather

the house of the rising sun behind me

paint it black on broken walls

Only the lonely follow

nowhere man with hollow eyes

yesterday lies in every corner

the sound of silence grows

Will you love me tomorrow

is written in the dirt of the road

I heard it through the grapevine

the answer is already no

So I keep crying in the rain

California dreamin gone cold

unchained melody

slipping from my hands

the end waiting quietly ahead

About the Creator

Marie381Uk

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
