Cry Baby

A poem

All brain activity washed away.

A tidal wave of agony and turmoil.

Widespread wracking numbs my racing thoughts.

Sobs gasping out in irregular plumes.

Forcing every cubic inch of breath from my chest.

A pool of mucous forms in the back of my throat.

Shocking a single word into my head.

Breathe!

Drowning in a hot salty viscous sea.

Crawling from the safety of darkness.

Climbing into the protective cradle that

shields me from constant calamity.
