Cry, Baby, Cry
Sing me a song
They tell me that I'm calm
(cry, baby, cry)
Inside roils a bomb
(cry, baby, cry)
Outside I wear a smile
(cry, baby, cry)
Heartbeat struggling meanwhile
(cry, baby, cry)
Night arrives once again no sleep
(cry, baby, cry)
Functioning thru depression deep
(cry, baby, cry)
Get in the car put my head on the wheel
(cry, baby, cry)
not giving up, my determination's real
(cry, baby, cry)
take a breath square my shoulders, then
(cry, baby, cry)
open the door and get to it again
(cry, baby, cry)
Some days so foggy I don't know my name
(cry, baby, cry)
I'll do my my best tho, just the same
(cry, baby, cry)
Folks may act like they don't have a care
(cry, baby, cry)
Don't ask how they're doing or they just might share
(cry, baby, cry)
It could be anyone, it could be you
(cry, baby, cry)
We don't know what another's going through.
(cry, baby, cry)

Anyone able to write a tune and care to record themselves singing this? If so, please share a link.

i'll work on it. i have a tuning knob to fix on my guitar, but perhaps the ukelele will do for this lovely and introspective tune.
No public jingle from me, but I can hum it to myself!! Very relatable many times!!
This gives me a feeling akin to listening to old bluegrass. I would love to hear this recorded by someone! Someone who would be able to carry and capture that feeling! It’s amazing.
Ah this was so deep and true. I especially loved the repetition!
Hmm! I wish I had time to write a basic tune for this. Gabriel H. has been posting a few of his guitar melodies. I hope he reads this. Lovely, heartfelt work, Judey!
Now, that's tempting. If only I still had my 18-year-old voice. This certainly has the right lyrical feel.
Lovely, Judey
This would make a great musical score. The 'Cry, baby, cry' would make a great refrain especially for rock and roll. Good job.
