Crushing Silence

Drowning

Suctioned downward by the whirling

Into the water’s drain, a-swirling

Like debris crushed in a compactor

Engulfed in its churning, deafened roar

Negating any screams around

Caught up by the swelling, and bound

Ending the rupture of any sound

Acrostic

Your imagery was (to use a British expression) "proper" felt. Great lead photo! Great writing! Congrats on being featured in Vocal's "Creator's We're Loving." (How I "found" you.)
