In shadows deep, where light is scarce,
Cruelty thrives with a chilling glare.
Hearts are hardened, voices stark,
Leaving wounds that linger, never to repair.

Words like daggers, actions cold,
A world where kindness is seldom bold.
Innocence lost, stories untold,
Cruelty's grip, relentless and old.
