The stage was empty then you came.
The room lit up. You owned your name.
You speak in fire, walk in gold,
Your pride is warm, your courage bold.
You crave applause, but not for show
You shine so others learn to glow.
You wear your scars like jeweled rings,
A lion heart that never clings.
You love out loud, you laugh full-force,
You live like joy’s a primal course.
But wound your trust? You'll shut the gate
The sun withdraws. You call it fate.
Still, no one blazes quite like you
The king, the flame, the fierce, the true.
About the Creator
E. C. Mira
I’m a poet at heart, always chasing the quiet moments and turning them into words. Most of what I write is poetry, but every now and then inspiration pulls me in new directions.
