Stretchy pants and bright collared shirts,
outfitted with ball caps and turf shoes
the golfers have reached the green
are lining up their putt

on a slope, behind the hole is
a muster of storks,
a bird crowd at the golf course,
not cheering for men with the metal clubs
those who took their native land for a
gentleman's game.
