Open your mind
You will find
A superpower
Fueled by brainpower
Using the magic of words
It takes you to other worlds
Unlocking doors
Upon distant shores
Where mermaids lie
And phoenix fly
It’s a place
That you can race
Upon a pegacorn
While tooting a horn
Or you can run
On the surface of the sun
Searching for
A toy store
Even better
Would be the letter
You could deliver by hand
To fairies of a hidden land
Or climb to the peak of K2
To catch a goat for an alien’s zoo
You can have brunch
Or possibly lunch
With the elves
Who cares for the library themselves
Oh, the surprise
When you win every prize
So step through the threshold
Look upon a field sparkling in gold
Take a drive through the clouds
Up above the crowds
On a journey of inspiration
Through a land of imagination

Without imagination, there would be no creation.

CUTE!
I want to see a pegacorn and take a drive up above the clouds. Very cute poem, great job!
:) Just now I was uploading an art on mermaid reading an art. Whimsical is necessary, whatever our age.
I didn't know there was an Imagination Day!!! This is certainly perfect for that! Your cover photo screams "Fun!" before your words display all the details and nuances. This *is* fun, Sharon. Love it. ⚡💙⚡
Omggg, I had no idea that a pegacorn was a thing! That's so cool! Loved your wonderful poem!
