Crash Test Dummy

Poem

By Desmond RazzanoPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

If you’ve gotten me, you’ve gotten all of me..

Every night to every day.

I’m glad that you’ve been wanting me..

In clearly every way.

I’m no movie, you won’t pause me, and then press play.

Sit back and enjoy the long ride.

If it doesn’t please you, then you’ve been the wrong high.

I can feel my Chi, but I just never felt my Tai.

You know I want to love you, but I just don’t have the time.

I have everything money could never buy.

So drive me insane, and put God behind my steering wheel.

You will take my hand, and know my heart is real.

No, there’s no funnies, or crash test dummies..

The Devil and I made a hell of a deal.

‘I love you’ means let us grow old together.

I just want your heart, I’d keep it ice-cold forever.

I don’t wish to hurt you, it would give me no pleasure.

Won’t suffocate you, but you will feel some pressure.

You see, I’m not the old me, I’ve grown to be better.

Ride or Die, baby, that’s what I am looking for.

I’m no crash test dummy, whose ribs are too sore.

Jump to my death, they call them ‘suicide’ doors.

Black is what looks blue inside our desperate cores.

The Universe can hold her breath far longer than you can yours..
