I’m
Sick
I got a metal line tightening around me
And it’s not easy
No, it’s not
Easy
To hold my breath anymore
Baby, I’m sick.
Don’t take my temperature
It’s just the tension
You’re sick, actually:
Don’t loosen those chains
You like them too much on my arms and legs and underneath my throat.
We’re all sick, really
We all have silent chains
That make us feel like questioning
This
This world
Then, a
Crackle!
And it’s exposed
Like a loud cough in a silent library
And everyone wants to look at you
And ask you
“Why are you here
If you’re sick?”
I didn’t want to be all alone
