He wrote it out of fog from a frosty window pane

because we both knew, I would never open the door

and as the sun settled into a silenced night

it glistened against the marbleized moon--

My window pane an the frayed curtains my dead mother sewed

the mother, I no longer have.

You are the courage you have inside
