Courage To Grow

What if you never took the chance to know,

What if you shied away from every chance to grow,

What if you chose to stay dim when you were meant to glow,

Is that a life you consider worth living fo,

If not then why continue down that road,

Wouldn't you rather live a life inspired,

Where you cant see the top but still continue to climb higher,

Where you feel satisfied when you're about to retire for the night,

When with all your might you give each day your best effort,

When the fruits of your labor are the sweetest comfort,

When regardless of the circumstance,

You're going to do your best to take every chance,

Or opportunity, don't you owe it to yourself to see,

Everything your capable of doing to reach the highest peak,

Or to discover the bottom of every valley,

You will take some wins and losses but no need to keep a talley,

Its all about the experience and when it comes to wisdom there is no difference,

Each provides a lesson, so consider everything a blessing,

When the going gets easy or even if you're stressing,

Try to be present not always looking for the next thing,

Its okay to have doubts or to be second guessing,

But constantly try to be flexing your faith in yourself,

Its one of the best exercises,

and when you start to be confident everyone recognizes,

Be in love with yourself no matter what shape or sizes,

Keep your head up as if your watching the sun as it rises,

The biggest demise to your soul is to never try to be who you are,

Don't get caught up in appearances because they only go so far,

As time continues on its whats within that you need to tap into,

Tune in and turn on all the lights,

Sometimes you have to travel through the dark to flip that switch,

But don't let the size of your own shadow be the reason you quit,

Sometimes it can seem daunting to tackle your fears that can be haunting,

But nothing is worse than allowing fear to be blocking you from your greatest potential,

So find it in you to stand firm in any weather,

Whether the sun is blazing or the rain is torrential,

Inner strength is essential,

Can you find it in you to follow your heart and achieve your dreams,
