Courage in the Face of Corona

A virus known as Corona has caused us dismay

It spreads like the wind, with no end to its fray

It ravages our communities in ways we can’t comprehend

Leaving us desperate and despondent, our hopes seemingly rend

We watch helplessly from afar, as it takes a toll on our towns

All the while, our hopes and dreams become subject to its frowns

It strikes fear and spread sorrow with its insidious might

But we refuse to let it win, with courage we will fight

The world may seem bleak and dim through these daunting days

But take heart, for in time this mark it will be erased

The science is sound, the treatments are many

Let us keep our courage steadfast, against this virus we must tarry

Though our hearts ache for times that once were

A brighter future remains, when this pandemic we defer

So spread love and kindness like the virus spreads its ills

And with courage, together we will beat this, in spite of Corona's thrills.
