Countless Brilliances
An Acrostic Ode to Vocal, for D.K.'s Challenge

Voice, in this library, is given to oft-hushed corners of the wandering mind;
Orchestral, in bright day and silent dark, is the swell of wit and profundity;
Colossi, gentle and genius, sketch worlds within words within thoughts well-refined;
Artistry, tender-strong, buds and blooms in the earthy beds of humanity;
Lavish, then, in this garden of stories, and the countless brilliances you will doubtless find!

This is a submission for the brilliant D.K. Shepard's Vocal Acrostic Challenge; if you haven't looked into it, please do check it out in the link below! (I think this poem could either be counted in the Literal Life or Enlightening Literature category, depending on what you draw from it!) If you have the time, also consider filling out the questionnaire attached to D.K.'s post; she is doing a magnificent job encouraging discussion about recent issues on this site, and is compiling people's opinions on a variety of relevant subjects there.
Anyhow, thanks for stopping by friends. Hope you are well! :)

Hope you are well, Gabriel!! Any chance your Stripe might need to be reconnected! It seems Vocal has taken care of their glitch, but I can't seem to send your prize!
This acrostic is gentle and powerful at once, Gabriel--a rare combination that seems to be characteristic of your style. Congratulations!
Congratulations! A quietly inspiring acrostic… my favourite line is: “ Voice, in this library, is given to oft-hushed corners of the wandering mind;” 🤩
Great acrostic. I loved the use of the word ‘colossi’ here.
Oh, this is so stunning, Gabriel! I'm deeply honored that you decided to participate in this challenge and contributed such a beautiful piece! I truly felt transported into another plane where the beautiful parts of Vocal were on glorious display!
Excellent acrostic. Let's see if I can dig something out of "oft-hushed corners of the wandering mind." Or maybe, just get Abigail to do it.
“…the countless brilliances you will doubtless find” sounds like something I would’ve heard in my childhood in one of those magical storybooks. Whimsical, lovely, and lyrical. So cool, Gabe!
Not sure how one tops this ode, Gabriel. Methinks only a sudden stroke of metaphorical lightning and an unblinkered gaze at what is daily wrought upon this platform might grasp it. But for now, my wit has deserted me and the vacant maw of the white page does mock me sorely!
Great work, and use of the word colossi! Perfect for this challenge.
