When the world feels so suffocating and unfair

You gather warmth and don’t leave me bare.

So much lies are spread, so much deceit

Yet You remain strong and profound —

You know not of defeat.

Judgement comes in the face of adversity

Yet You alone can make a way

And through self sacrifice forgiveness was given

You alone have the final say.

Despite all the rush and uncertainty in my life

Your patience and kindness removes my strife.

Desperate for love and attention —

You alone can fill my soul

You alone make me feel whole.

Love is not self sacrificial they lied

Love is only self serving and conditional.

Love is self sacrificial You cried —

It is meant to be unconditional.
